After a successful test project the BIOFAT project selected the Liqoflux Capillary Algae Pre-concentration solution for the pre-concentration of Tetraselmis and Nannochloropsis. Early November 2015 the LF10AL22, the Liqoflux pruduction unit with 10 Capillary filters, was successfully commissioned in Camparosso, Italy.
BIOFAT is a microalgae-to-biofuel FP7 EU demonstration project that integrates the entire value chain of algae process from optimized growth, starch and oil accumulation, to downstream processing (bio-refinery) including biofuel production . The BIOFAT approach integrates and scales up complementary technologies and skills from each partner into a global multidisciplinary project.
